globalORE™ promotes the development of the global iron ore market through the introduction of standardised contracts, online trading and risk management tools.

Launched in March 2010, globalORE is a subsidiary of globalCOAL®, which played a pivotal role in the commoditisation of coal and the development of financial coal products. Today, globalCOAL is the world's leading coal trading platform, offering a fast, transparent route to physical and financial coal markets.

globalORE aims to reproduce the success of globalCOAL in the iron ore sector. There are many similarities between the iron ore and coal industries and undoubtedly, some differences. We are applying the lessons learnt and experience gained from the coal market to the iron ore market.
